First Rubber Condoms

Fun Fact:

Did you know the first rubber condoms had a frickin' seam and were 1-2mm thick? The first rubber condoms appeared in 1855. And yes, they were reusable (and expensive--no surprise there!).

Cute Inflatable Book

I came across this very awesome book[let] about PVC inflatables at the MoMo book store in SOHO, NYC. The book itself is not inflatable (though it does have a picture of inflatable postcards!). It's a full color 64 page booklet in Italian and English filled with irreverent and whacky objects that will put a smile on your face. Christian Dior Couture Fall '06

Looking back at last year's fashion generic offerings has left me with a meh feel in that deep black void where my heart should be. Except for the stiletto platform craze and a few standout pieces from various designers I give the year 2006 a big 90's WHATEVER.

However I did enjoy drooling over the Fall '06 Couture collection of Christian Dior [as usual]. The critics didn't like this collection too much -- something about it being too satanic, dark, and boring, and John Galliano looking like a crazy man in his spacesuit. I really dig armor, patent leather, and bondage strappy thingies. Shut up, critics.
